Card Patterns Sketch#8

Saturday, March 28, 2009

Hi peeps! Welcome to my weekly post for Card Patterns! We have a fantastic sketch this week, absolutely one of my ab faves (amongst the other fantastic ones!) We've got a great sponsor this week too, but I'll get to that at the end of the post, here's the sketch! It is fabulous, yes? And here's my take :
This card is totally OOzing basic grey bittersweet collection :) The chipboard letters are from Basic grey too. The background is stamped with papertreyink's 'polka dot basics' with their 'fresh snow' ink. One of the best, if not THE best white inks EVER!
So this week's sponsor (ho-hum) is Paper Blooms etsy shop. They have the cutest crocheted flowers. Check 'em out here. As per usual, link up your take (specific post only, please) to Mr. Linky on the corresponding sketch post which in this case, is sketch #8 over at Card Patterns. :)

You get 2 chances to win for 1 take, how good is that?!? So go on now (shoo, shoo!) create something today with your take on the sketch, I'd so love to see it :)

Remember to check out the design team's take too, GORGEOUUSSSS!

ps: I've replaced the link for all my video tutorials with a video bar instead, this way you can click on any videos & watch them whenever you like :) plus it makes organising them easier for me too as it links straight to my youtube channel. if you notice there're some new videos up there which i haven't posted about yet. Mini box one coming up on tuesday & then the Copic colouring one after that, but if you can't wait you can just click & watch now :) i edited a few more videos yesterday so many more too come! hehe

pps: i added LinkWithin to my blog too! I saw it used on Ali E's blog & loved the idea. LinkWithin is a widget that links to related stories from your archive under each story on your blog. So my old posts will randomly appear & not just go into the archives. how cool is that?!
i also removed twitter, i realised it's not my thing. oh well.

ppps: thanks michelle for the kind words over at Card Patterns, you're da best! :)
Have a great weekend peeps!

Great card. The stitching really adds something special. I haven't tried that yet, but I'll get there. Really unique. I love it. Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. It's so much fun seeing what others are doing. I didn't realize there was such a large papercrafting community until recently. It's neat. Take care. Jan
