It was kinda nightmarish at first because he wanted to walk everywhere to 'take in the sights' & anyone who knows me knows that i'd much rather take a cab and take in the sights that way. Although I had aching feet at the end of every day (trust me, i made sure he heard me complaining), i realised that he's grown on me in so many ways. He is his own person in his own right & so am I. As long as we learn to respect that (a gd e.g. would be me not forcing him to take photos which he hates) we get along perfectly.</div><div> </div><div>All in all, a good trip!</div><div> </div><div> <a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js"></script></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-48279363326922989602010-06-04T14:21:00.002+08:002010-06-04T14:25:49.512+08:00butterfly pull-out cardhey there peeps! just a quick share today..a cute pull-out card i made with a silhouette butterfly die cut, papertreyink stamps as well as a frame from my mind's eye.<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/TAibqg4zgJI/AAAAAAAABoo/e6m2WqPAetU/s1600/CIMG4984.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478800101381210258" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/TAibqg4zgJI/AAAAAAAABoo/e6m2WqPAetU/s400/CIMG4984.JPG" /></a> and here's a pic of the pull out.<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/TAibp9jsWCI/AAAAAAAABog/xwA7gQNe1JQ/s1600/CIMG4985.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478800091897419810" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/TAibp9jsWCI/AAAAAAAABog/xwA7gQNe1JQ/s400/CIMG4985.JPG" /></a> hope you likey! am off to hongkong for a week, can't wait :)<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script><br /><script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js"></script></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-50625376679417395842010-05-16T14:42:00.002+08:002010-05-16T14:50:02.745+08:00heroarts love butterflies....and so do i! loving the Heroarts 'antique engraving' set. posted these cards on the flickr heroblog site some time back but don't believe i've shared then here yet. so here they are:<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S--UMB3r-1I/AAAAAAAABoQ/_BUEoGdGzJI/s1600/CIMG4987.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5471755006659787602" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S--UMB3r-1I/AAAAAAAABoQ/_BUEoGdGzJI/s400/CIMG4987.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S--ULnOvxCI/AAAAAAAABoI/QlAOHZ58Ry0/s1600/CIMG4988.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5471754999508747298" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S--ULnOvxCI/AAAAAAAABoI/QlAOHZ58Ry0/s400/CIMG4988.JPG" /></a> sentiments are also from heroarts as well, short & sweet today. thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-34250661404815505162010-05-08T12:55:00.003+08:002010-05-08T15:47:55.800+08:00Primashelloooo how's ur weekend going?? i'm spending it right where i want to, at home! :)) just baked some cupcakes topped with some buttercream frosting (tough to get the frosting right). anyone has an easy & yummy cupcake frosting to share?<br />here's a card i made using papertreyink's 'background basics:text style' & a sentiment from dawn mcvey's pti 'damask design'. Love the font she uses in that set. the text is stamped with a few different colours all the way up to about 3/4 of the front piece of white cardstock & then added a melon berry satin ribbon + glitter lace (from Daiso).<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S-TvKIuNhQI/AAAAAAAABoA/elSXS5j1rn4/s1600/CIMG4913.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468758804953662722" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S-TvKIuNhQI/AAAAAAAABoA/elSXS5j1rn4/s400/CIMG4913.JPG" /></a> Also added some prisma glitter using Scor-tape (papertreyink sells them), if u don't have scor-tape u have to get it. Wonderfully strong adhesive for boxes, adding strips of glitter!<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S-TvJDCf7QI/AAAAAAAABn4/uWQoe0E5xnA/s1600/CIMG4914.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5468758786248273154" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S-TvJDCf7QI/AAAAAAAABn4/uWQoe0E5xnA/s400/CIMG4914.JPG" /></a> Last but not least, a pretty flower from Prisma. The sentiment could be swapped for a wedding themed card, don't u think?</div><div>have a great weekend!! ;)<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-7239457108188810142010-05-05T12:02:00.003+08:002010-05-05T12:12:30.206+08:00Congrats on your new homeTotally loving the new turquoise-ish colour from the folks over @ papertreyink. Needed a card for a friend's housewarming & decided that the 'Hawaiian shores' paper would go lovely with some 'Rapberry fizz', from PTI as well. <a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S-DuKul47VI/AAAAAAAABnw/oax8_yplyI8/s1600/CIMG5047.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467631815700835666" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S-DuKul47VI/AAAAAAAABnw/oax8_yplyI8/s400/CIMG5047.JPG" /></a> Used my new Heroarts 'Row of Houses' stamp (which I won from last month Heroarts blog challenge), stamped 2 rows with some grey ink & made it look 'occupied' with some copic markers, white gel pen & some bling.<br />Sentiment is from Heroarts 'essential messages' & the brad is from Making memories.<br /><br />Quick, simple & most importantly...me likey!!<br />Have a nice mid-week, folks. It's been unbearably humid here these few days, wishing for more rain...or ice cream :)<br /><br /><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-36503848868811773892010-05-02T01:12:00.002+08:002010-05-02T01:26:51.905+08:00Happy Scrapbooking Week!In lieu of Scrapbooking week, i have another layout to share! :) Some leftover Xmas photos that were lying around (in the odds & ends stash of photos that almost never get scrapped) The best thing to do with them? Use them all! I find that if you cut them into the same size & put them together u maximise 'em! Feels so good to use up your stash (of anything! oh well, except perhaps some of those fabric 'dear lizzy' papers that i am sure looks better untouched, hee.)<br />Anyways, the photos here are trimmed to 3" by 3" and arranged unto a grid which is then matted.<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9xhcUiI80I/AAAAAAAABno/APWG1Jfg_rU/s1600/CIMG4974.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 386px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466351186897072962" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9xhcUiI80I/AAAAAAAABno/APWG1Jfg_rU/s400/CIMG4974.JPG" /></a> Also used some Christmas stamps here from Making Memories as well as some christmas tree epoxy stickers from an older Creative Imaginations packet. Background patterned paper is from Luxe (basics collection, huge love !!)<br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9xhbgH8EHI/AAAAAAAABng/v4hIESjc0UA/s1600/CIMG4975.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466351172828532850" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9xhbgH8EHI/AAAAAAAABng/v4hIESjc0UA/s400/CIMG4975.JPG" /></a> The top & bottom piece of red patterned paper (you make me happy) is from an old Cosmo cricket 8"x8" paper pad (not sure which collection) & I'm so loving the Tim Holtz ornate plate which I used to frame a stamped '2009' below.<br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9xhbMTjWTI/AAAAAAAABnY/cZQXi5iSBME/s1600/CIMG4976.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 394px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466351167508535602" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9xhbMTjWTI/AAAAAAAABnY/cZQXi5iSBME/s400/CIMG4976.JPG" /></a>Thank you for stopping by today, Have a great scrapbooking week!! </div><div>{heart}<br /><br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a> </div></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-78631609769318508682010-04-23T00:41:00.002+08:002010-04-27T19:39:56.865+08:00Crabby Fun!Got round to scrapping some photos from my Japan trip, here's one I did of me & my mum having a great time dining on Crabs :)<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9B8pwZD5wI/AAAAAAAABnI/nzCTzxOLKBU/s1600/CIMG4972.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 393px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5463003404806907650" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S9B8pwZD5wI/AAAAAAAABnI/nzCTzxOLKBU/s400/CIMG4972.JPG" /></a> I used my Silhouette SD machine to cut out the frame for the photos , then layered it on a piece of letter sized kraft cardstock. Patterned paper is from K&Co as well as Imaginisce. For the elongated vertical space on the right I decided to use some yummy adhesive backed printed canvas from an old EK success collection. Another Quick & easy way to utilise your stamps; by making a background :)<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S809lpmPHPI/AAAAAAAABmw/xJHSd8WFRps/s1600/CIMG4886.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462089640100961522" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S809lpmPHPI/AAAAAAAABmw/xJHSd8WFRps/s400/CIMG4886.JPG" /></a> The accent piece (in kraft) is stamped with PTI's 'polka dot basics 2' in choc ink then trimmed with a pair of pinking shears, i also machine stitched on a vellum pc unto it & adhered some buttons & stamped a sentiment.<br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S809kqvf48I/AAAAAAAABmo/lLjXDSLiAxw/s1600/CIMG4887.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5462089623228376002" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S809kqvf48I/AAAAAAAABmo/lLjXDSLiAxw/s400/CIMG4887.JPG" /></a> The whole accent piece is then mounted on some large width-ed wire ribbon and attached to the top of the card. The whole card is then sponged on the edges with more 'snow white' pigment ink. A bit bulky to send in the mail, but a lovely addition to a pressie if you're giving it away by hand :)</div><div>Thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script><br /><br /><br /><br /><script type="text/javascript" src="http://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js"></script></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-41550054232532252612010-04-18T22:32:00.002+08:002010-04-18T22:40:21.687+08:00chipboard bdayQuick & simple card, was spring cleaning the other day (not completed to this day! lol) and came upon these pretty old chipboard letters which i've never used! So just grabbed an orange cardstock & stamped the whole background with papertreyink's 'background basics: retro' then stuck on the chipboard alphas to spell 'birthday'.<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S8sY1FifebI/AAAAAAAABmg/o5ZFTqMm2OQ/s1600/CIMG4888.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5461486273415838130" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S8sY1FifebI/AAAAAAAABmg/o5ZFTqMm2OQ/s400/CIMG4888.JPG" /></a> Curved a 'happy' sentiment & stamped it above the alphas, punched out a star (added a bling button atop) and voila! Couldn't get more simple than this, really...<br />Been trying to curb my scrap spending lately so been trying to use up my stash! You could be surprised what you can find lol :)<br />Thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-59228278790094680422010-04-14T12:04:00.002+08:002010-04-14T12:13:43.834+08:00Back!Back from Malaysia last night, couldn't believe how much I miss my bed (and the boy in it!) :) Anyways, I got home to some new Heroarts goodies that I won a couple of weeks back & also tons of Papertreyink!! Here's a card I made with my new fave <a href="http://www.quickutz.com/qk2/viewItem.aspx?ic=EF-A2-037">polka dot embossing folder </a>from Quickutz...it has bigger dots than the swiss dots embossing folder from cuttlebug & I love them both! The sentiment is from Heroart's<a href="http://shop.heroarts.com/products/productdetail/part_number=CL342/1571.0.1.1"> 'everyday sayings' stamp set</a>. Another one of my faves :)<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S7x3GwQ9SyI/AAAAAAAABmI/rnPg3d7Tbqw/s1600/CIMG4978.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457367806385146658" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S7x3GwQ9SyI/AAAAAAAABmI/rnPg3d7Tbqw/s400/CIMG4978.JPG" /></a>The butterfly image is from thi<a href="http://shop.heroarts.com/products/productdetail/part_number=CL383/1571.0.1.1">s new Heroarts stamp set</a>, which I finally decided to get because I just couldn't resist!! The image is stamped with dark brown Stazon ink onto some Claudine Hellmusth sticky-back canvas, cut out with a sharp pair of fabric scissors & then sponged on some Tim Holtz 'fired brick' & 'spiced marmalade' distress inks. The butterfly is then glimmer misted with 'silver bells'...Love the effect!<br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S7x3GamRcFI/AAAAAAAABmA/dHfYXpe6bTY/s1600/CIMG4979.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457367800568967250" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S7x3GamRcFI/AAAAAAAABmA/dHfYXpe6bTY/s400/CIMG4979.JPG" /></a> The canvas butterfly is mounted on 2 circles (punched out with 1.5" & 1.75"). The smaller vanilla circle has Papertreyink's '<a href="http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_backgroundbasics_textstyle.html">background basic:text style</a>' stamped on it with Tim holtz 'old paper' distress ink.</div><div>Thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-89398221924354764172010-04-05T16:21:00.003+08:002010-04-05T16:28:40.806+08:00a friend that's like a chair..That's what the sentiment from PapertreyInk's <a href="http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_onmycouch.html">'On My Couch' </a>stamp set says :) Love the stamps + the additional set too! Cut it out EASILY with the <a href="http://silhouettemachine.com/">Silhouette SD machine </a>& sponged the edges with some Tim Holtz 'Old Paper' Distress ink.<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6nCHJhpIDI/AAAAAAAABk4/X2rXxhK0Y5E/s1600/CIMG4883.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5452102251980595250" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6nCHJhpIDI/AAAAAAAABk4/X2rXxhK0Y5E/s400/CIMG4883.JPG" /></a> Not too sure where the blue cardstock came from (blame it on stashing too much products!) , the background stamp i used on it is from Papertreyink 's <a href="http://www.papertreyink.com/stamps_backgroundbasics_retro.html">background basics: retro set.</a> The patterned paper is PTI's Bitty Dots basic & sentiment stamp is from my beloved Heroarts 'thinking of you' stamp set.<br /><br />Just finished a glass etching + vinyl art combo on my mirror...photos soon!<br />And a <strong>quick tip for when your Silhouette cutting mat loses its stickiness</strong>, u can stretch its usage! Here's what you do:<br /><br />1. Clean the mat with water & a little soap (use a soft brush to get rid of little remaining pieces that maybe stuck on the mat)<br />2. Air dry or if you're impatient like me use a cloth that doesn't have the fuzzies coming off (if u get what i mean :) )<br />3. Use a <a href="http://www.baby-memory-books.com/ZIG_2_way_Glue_Pen_Jumbo_Tip_p/ek-msb30c.htm">Jumbo sized Zig 2 way-glue pen </a>& go over the surface of the mat<br />4. THIS part u have to air-dry in order for the mat to have a repositionable sticky surface.<br />5. Voila!! u have a good as new cutting mat!<br /><br />ps: i've used this technique about 4-5 times on my mat now & am still using my first mat. Have yet to break out the 2 news spare ones as yet...go figure.<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-81902924759706664622010-03-22T18:11:00.002+08:002010-03-22T18:15:10.911+08:00Just a note...Love how easy & quick it was to make this card. Speech bubble stamp & sentiment from Heroarts, PTI lemon tart cardstock dry embossed with Quickutz polka dot embossing folder & bird die cut cut with my Silhouette :) This card is also featured <a href="http://northridgemedia.net/blogs/cards/?p=1808">on Cards blog this week</a> :)<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6dCchi3DRI/AAAAAAAABkw/OZegLdVA8_I/s1600-h/CIMG4915.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5451398931763629330" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6dCchi3DRI/AAAAAAAABkw/OZegLdVA8_I/s400/CIMG4915.JPG" /></a> Thanks for stopping by, birdies :)<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-30261635834431246532010-03-19T15:15:00.004+08:002010-03-19T15:33:19.711+08:00Some Birthday Love....Happy Birthday to Moi :) It's been sweet so far..my guy made a scrumptious breakfast for me this morning and even arranged it nicely...he's a sweet one. :) Also had a little birthday love from Heroarts last night when i saw that I was one of the winners picked for their spring challenge. I took quite some time off the last 6 months or so and didn't submit any cards for calls or challenges etc so it's good to know I can still make cards that people like. But first here's the winning card:<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6MmSsrsiBI/AAAAAAAABko/exYJxSOpRTg/s1600-h/CIMG4899.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450242076722366482" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6MmSsrsiBI/AAAAAAAABko/exYJxSOpRTg/s400/CIMG4899.JPG" /></a> Lots of stamping, inking & heat embossing on this one. Had tons of fun! Cut the branch using my Silhouette SD with white cardstock then sponged it with some distress inks.<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6MmRzdZWVI/AAAAAAAABkg/x4f7W2WF1jU/s1600-h/CIMG4900.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450242061361568082" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6MmRzdZWVI/AAAAAAAABkg/x4f7W2WF1jU/s400/CIMG4900.JPG" /></a> The background is also stamped, then sponged, then heat embossed & sponged again. Prolonged exposure to stamps, inks & paper + tons of lovely tools will provide bouts of happy delirousness!! The butterflies are punched out with some Martha Stewart punches and the patterned paper used is from pebbles. Used up the remaining scrap from my <a href="http://fetishforpaper.blogspot.com/2010/03/mad-hatters-tea-party.html">birthday invites here.</a></div><div>Here's the post on the <a href="http://heroarts.com/blogs/club/2010/03/18/and-the-winner-is-3/">Heroarts blog</a>:<br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6Ml2MflZYI/AAAAAAAABkY/Kn84fpEZn2M/s1600-h/Untitled-1.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 250px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450241587045295490" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6Ml2MflZYI/AAAAAAAABkY/Kn84fpEZn2M/s400/Untitled-1.jpg" /></a> I'll be heading off for a nice dinner tonight, planning to enjoy myself thoroughly in the afternoon with more papers, inks & stamps!! :)</div><div>Thanks for stopping by & have a FAB weekend.<br /><br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script></div></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-51708853580230055952010-03-18T17:54:00.002+08:002010-03-18T18:07:56.225+08:00Prima love..Prima flowers take my breath away...i must point out honestly that i'm not a 'flower' person, meaning i like fresh flowers on my table but put fake flower embellishments in front of me & i wouldn't know nuts what to do with them. Totally envious of peeps who can execute layouts & cards with tons of flowers beautifully...:)<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6H4bzw3pGI/AAAAAAAABkQ/VOJTQEcW7VU/s1600-h/CIMG4891.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449910180730348642" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S6H4bzw3pGI/AAAAAAAABkQ/VOJTQEcW7VU/s400/CIMG4891.JPG" /></a> So what i'm not good at i do least of. Just a really simple card with ONE gorgeous prima layered flower as the focal point. I masked off the sides of the card with some printer paper & stamped a distressed grid (from Unity stamp co.) using Papertreyink's 'Snow fresh' ink. Really good white pigment ink that one. Some white stitching with my fave white uniball pen , stick on some basic grey 'white' microchip alphas + a small sentiment and done. Feels good when u do something simple & clean. I think the key is to know when you have to stop adding things to your project; which is seriously tough!<br /><br />It's my birthday tomorrow & i'm in self denial of turning another year older. Like 'i just want to switch my phone off & hole myself up alone at home' kind of denial. Not much success to that so far....<br /><br />Anyways I thought it was really sweet that friends sent me birthday wishes on facebook & i find it only polite to acknowledge them all by posting a thank you reply note (via facebook again of course). Looking forward to a day of doing nothing tomorrow with my guy (utter bliss!) & my tea party on saturday :)<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by, have a good weekend!<br /><br /><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-33540326683540137972010-03-13T16:30:00.002+08:002010-03-17T17:51:53.531+08:00Crazy MomentsSometimes I like to do self-reflective layouts (during those occassional moody moments). Here's one I did sometime ago...used some lovely Basic Grey goodies on this.<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5tNkJ8gBcI/AAAAAAAABkI/xD30tBXlKjE/s1600-h/CIMG3599.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 398px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448033457775052226" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5tNkJ8gBcI/AAAAAAAABkI/xD30tBXlKjE/s400/CIMG3599.JPG" /></a> Love those heidi swapp 'invisible stickers', great to ink them according to your colour scheme. The alpha ones i used has dots on them, yum! 'Moments' sentiment from a creative cafe stamp set. I used some vellum from PTI (really good stuff) under the title so soften the busy background paper.here's a closer look:<br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5tNja6HVUI/AAAAAAAABkA/9XdffPPmh2c/s1600-h/CIMG3601.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448033445148579138" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5tNja6HVUI/AAAAAAAABkA/9XdffPPmh2c/s400/CIMG3601.JPG" /></a> I also cut out a rectangular window, revealing the base kraft cardstock layer for my journalling. The notebook lines stamp is from Papertreyink's 'Journalling lines' stamp set. Makes it SO easy.<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5tNiMtLKcI/AAAAAAAABj4/mH3TKqfjssg/s1600-h/CIMG3600.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448033424156338626" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5tNiMtLKcI/AAAAAAAABj4/mH3TKqfjssg/s400/CIMG3600.JPG" /></a> Also did some machine stitching at the bottom of the page + some adhesive-backed pearls.<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by :)<br /><br /><div><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script></div></div></div>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-73628243995256605432010-03-11T11:48:00.003+08:002010-03-11T12:05:01.192+08:00Kitchen Vinyl loveHad this vinyl piece up on my kitchen wall yesterday morning, can't help sighing happily everytime i walk past it :)<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5hocLffcAI/AAAAAAAABjw/Q_7H_v8KD9c/s1600-h/CIMG4901.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5447218582635114498" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5hocLffcAI/AAAAAAAABjw/Q_7H_v8KD9c/s400/CIMG4901.JPG" /></a> The designs are all from the Silhouette online store & that gorgeous butterfly (a heroarts design) is cut out twice from 2 different coloured vinyl & layered.<br /><br />1. cut out the butterfly with the inside detail on brown vinyl<br />2. then click on the image again to 'ungroup'<br />3. delete the inside design of the butterfly, leaving only the outside shape<br />4. cut on red vinyl & you're ready to go!<br /><br />Nicole M. also did some layering on her butterfly using vinyl on <a href="http://nicholmagouirk.typepad.com/things_that_really_matter/2009/11/adhesive-vinyl-its-not-just-for-wall-art.html">this layout.<br /></a><br />Really simple to do & a quick and easy way to spice up the kitchen :)<br />Thanks for stopping by!<br /><br /><a class="a2a_dd" onmouseover="a2a_show_dropdown(this)" onmouseout="a2a_onMouseOut_delay()" href="http://www.addtoany.com/share_save?linkname=&linkurl=www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com"><img border="0" alt="Share/Save/Bookmark" src="http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_106_16.gif" width="106" height="16" /></a><br /><script type="text/javascript">a2a_linkname=document.title;a2a_linkurl="www.fetishforpaper.blogspot.com";</script>Fiona Yeohhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05938678346494371463noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7030548303641177540.post-20366156188695124462010-03-10T14:06:00.003+08:002010-03-10T14:14:56.191+08:00Mad hatter's tea party..well not quite...but it's still a tea party ! :)<br />I'm having a tea party with lots of yummy pastries & tea with a bunch of girlfriends for my 28th & just HAD to make these cute 3" x 4" invitations. <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5c3OKkhwPI/AAAAAAAABjo/td3GJZ655_Q/s1600-h/CIMG4896.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 330px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5446882990823162098" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5c3OKkhwPI/AAAAAAAABjo/td3GJZ655_Q/s400/CIMG4896.JPG" /></a> Teacup image is from Heroarts 'So sweet' & sentiment is from Papertreyink's 'tea for two' stamp sets. Card base from PTI kraft & patterened paper is from Pebbles (love it!)<br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5c3NRoKwhI/AAAAAAAABjg/5ixpR_qnRu8/s1600-h/CIMG4897.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5446882975537611282" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_5O5ogMO1rL4/S5c3NRoKwhI/AAAAAAAABjg/5ixpR_qnRu8/s400/CIMG4897.JPG" /></a> I modified some envelopes & stamped a little teacup image from PTI's anniversary set 'everyday classics' in brown chalk ink.
