Helllooo weekend! And you know what that means? Another Card Patterns sketch day :) I totally adore this week's sketch, so simple & it kinda reminds me of a quilt too. ...packaging all my Xmas pressies/goody bags & it feels good I tell ya :)

I wanted a casual feel to this year's wrapping so I got kraft paper bags & just went at it. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out considering I only spent an hour or so doing them. Rummaged through my PP scraps for the lids on the bags, recycling feels great too!

I think (but yet to decide) that my New Year Resolution would be to streamline all my scrap purchases. I hope. The new HeroArts catalogue is out the LSS & I'm dying inside to have a look. (so much for resolution huh?)

I came upon this for making a paper Kelly & knowing that my mum loves them Kelly bags I had to make one for her :) I guess a paper one is all I can afford for now haha.

Two posts today, just want to show you the set i received yesterday, only USD$2o can you believe it? After shipping it came up to about SGD$34. For everything that came in the set it's still cheap in my books!

It might still be available over at Scrapbuggy.com so go check it out :) I got a few candles from Ikea & have already altered some of them with stamping + tissue (no photos because I gave them all away before i had the chance to take some).

But here's one i altered with the alpha dies from the Sophisticate set & lace trim. The Quickstripz that came with the set came in really handy, just cut, peel & stick! I used a paper piercer to poke the hole for the ribbon brad to go through, just to have an extra hold on that trim. Also using my fave PTI polkies stamps here for the pink paper.

I think this would make a sweet gift for a girlfriend :) I hope you like it as much as I do! Have a sweet Happy Sunday.

A Merry Little Tropical Xmas

Hi all, just a quick card to share with you today. It's the weekend and as its getting closer to Xmas the days get busier & busier. I'm not hating it though :)

On another note, my Quickutz sophisticate set from Scrapbuggy arrived & I picked it up from Esther earlier today & it's *gasp* beautiful! Especially the price tag *snicker snicker* I'll put a project that i did with the sophisticate dies up tomorrow so in the meantime here's a card I made a few days back. Have i mentioned that I'm 'Oh So In Love' with PTI's polka dot basics? I did the back ground with their new vintage cream ink & then adhered some PP & then layered on a smaller piece of really nice Xmas-sy Green Bazzil polkies paper (i'm calling polka dots polkies from now on *grinz*).

I couldn't find the word 'Tropical' anywhere in my stamp stash so i just made one with the Heroarts basic lowercase letters stamps. (a MUST have)

The 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from Rusty Pickle actually comes in one line but i wanted a space in between them so I just simply cut them apart with a pair of sharp scissors. I recommend Tim Holtz's Tonic Non-stick Micro Serrated scissors, i just got them not long ago & they are the BEST!

You also probably can't tell from the photo but I actually punched out the larger snowflake on PTI's vellum cardstock. I think I really might be starting on a 'Must Buy' list today, because again i totally recommend getting their vellum cs. They're of really good weight & works with any punches. Normally I would have to adhere vellum on a piece of scrap paper before even thinking of punching through them. (they tend to jam up my punches, not good). Anyways, i layered a felt snowflake & added a bling button on top of them :)

Hi all! How was your long weekend?

Here's a Monogrammed note card set i made last week for a friend using PTI & Autumn Leaves stamps + Basic grey paper. Re-using the plastic casing that PTI stamps came in. (yes i keep every single one of them) I knew they were perfect for something like this :) This set has 5 envelopes, 10 notecards & 6 sticky labels in it.

I also got an early Xmas gift from DB, an Umbra Fotofalls desktop photo organiser. Perfect for displaying all my recent cards, loving it! It's now sitting atop my craft desk, so pretty :) Have a great start to the week!

Hi all, i have a scallop ornament card to share with you today.

These are really easy to make (learn how to by watching the vdo below), i just adapted it to make a card instead. You can use your circle scallops nestabilities for this as well but i used my 2" scallop punch from EK success.

What i love about this ornament is that you can easily adapt it to any occassion just by changing the colour of the PP u use for example; rich reds for chinese lanterns, orange for pumpkins & even multi coloured PP for beach balls. The possibilities are endless !

I really love the Quickutz lamb die cut that i borrowed from Regina the other day, i realised i had the perfect Unity Stamp Co. sentiment to go with it :)

For the inside of the card, i inked the words that i wanted to stand out with a darker brown. PP is from scenic route & kraft cards from Ikea.

Tested out the Canon Selphy ES20 the other day at a friend's house & printed this photo of the dog. Isn't he adorable?? He's a part of the fam, thus he deserves his own ornament :) I *think* i'm getting the canon ES30 for xmas this year teehee!

Gift Cards from Borders Bookshop, made the gift card holders myself. Instructions can be found on my last post :)

Apple body lotion. Used the fabulous PTI B&C monogram edition & simple alphabets. Also used a polka dot stamp i had & a cute heart from a chatterbox stamp set i had. Cute labels, yes?

I've been searching around for these cute bottles to hold the apple cream & i found them at Watsons for $3.50 for 2. Really love how these turned out, have every intention of keeping one for myself :)

These had got to be my favourite, after the apple cream lotions that is. Also got this idea from PTI.

All these will be going into brown paper bags (decorated w PP, of course!) & labelled. I'm done wayyyy before Xmas, isn't it crazy?

...officially on at my house! The Christmas tree is up, we decided to go with the classic look this year. It's not a huge tree, but it's our tree & you should feel the atmosphere it gives when the lights are on! Sigh..i love christmas :)

Anyways, here are photos of some projects that are simultaneously going for this Merry season. First up The Cards, going with the Snowman theme this year, so easy to make & economical too :)

These are missing their carrot-ee noses, by the way. You can still learn how to make these from this video.

Had some time to make a couple of Christmas tree ornaments, this is one of them. I used a MM's sheer frame for this, cut out mitten stickers from Cosmo Cricket's 'Oh Joy' CS stickers and stuck it to the side of the frame together with a punched out snowflake using mini pop dots. Then I added glitter on the edges with Glossy accents & stuck the whole thing on a red CS. Voila!

Oh, please don't try to use the Crop a Dile with the sheer frames (mine broke but i managed to piece it together with Glossy accents). Add ribbon & done :)

Next up are tags i got from PaperTreyInk. They're free templates & they're absolutely gorgeous! They also have great ideas for economical homemade gifts, do check them out. I'm going with the Snowman Soup idea, really think it's jolly :) Adding them to the Xmas goody bags.

I stamped a MM snowflake image in the middle & added Adhesive-backed Pearls in the middle. (found this earlier at a neighbourhood shop for $1.50! A whole bunch of them at that). So cute to go with the hot choc mix & mini marshmallows, don't you think?


I'm thinking of adding gift cards in the Christmas goody bag this year, here's a gift card holder i made. Really quick & easy, got the measurements + idea from Gina K's blog. Check it out here.

Will do up a list tomorrow as to what's going into the Christmas goody bags that i'm sort of standardising for everyone this year :)

I really love the Hero Arts 'Asian elements' set. Thought that it'll make nice Chinese New year cards. The first card is a vague attempt at making one with it. Kinda like how it turned out so far.

Am thinking of ways to incorporate my cuttlebug embossing folders into my cardmaking, i must say i think the possibilities are endless! It really gives it that much more "oomph" into a card with extra texture :)

Here's a snowman card with a cuttlebug embossed background [i used snowflakes], also added more texture with the red scarf & a popped up frame.

Just got my Colluzzle today, really nice to use! totally recommend it. Was initially thinking of getting the cuttlebug but what with the economy being so bad now am thinking twice about spending so much moola. Anyhoos, cut out the ovals and circles using the colluzle for the 'Merry Always' card.

This card may look complicated to make, but it's really not. Just make sure you have your circle punches out :)

Am thinking of making more of these to send out to family & friends this year, but i'm still playing around with a couple of ideas. I really don't like the idea of making 25 of the same cards; as they say variety is the spice of life, no? :)
