Card Patterns #11

Saturday, April 18, 2009

Great sketch again this week from Card Patterns! Make sure you join in the fun and post your take, in the meantime here's mine:

This week's sponsor is The Paper Pixie, an etsy shop selling all kinds of really cute tags. Kelly the owner, was also kind enough to send the Card Patterns design team some adorable goodies to play with! Check her shop out ;)

Used up some Making Memories 'flower patch' scraps for this card, as well as the gorgeous Papertreyink's Melon berry cardstock. I also punched the heart from a thin chipboard; inked it with red chalk ink, then heat embossed it with clear glitter embossing powder. The top & bottom edges of the card is stamped with Papertreyink's 'basic backgrounds:retro' stamp set. Me likey, hope you likey choo! :)
And here's a video to show you how I did that bow on the card:

So remember to post your take on the sketch over at Card Patterns using Mr. Linky. (pls link to direct posts only, there's a tutorial over at CP to teach you how). Guest designer spot & prize as usual ;)
Decided to share the boxy pouch photos i made for Regina tomorrow.
In the meantime, have a fantastic weekend! It's blistering hot here in Singapore today, not feeling too pea-happy. Waiting for the day to cool down later in the evening before heading out to a friend's son's 2nd bday party. Somebody send me some snow pwetty pwease?
