A couple of friends will be having their housewarming party soon so when I saw this bird feeder from nicole heady's post, I knew I had to make one! It is TOO cute! The roof is stamped with PapertreyInk's 'basic backgrounds:retro' stamp set. Love that set I tell ya ;)
The bird image is from the PTI anniversary set (not for sale) & the sentiment is from PTI's 'boards & beams' stamp set. Inside is a tealight candle holder , it's a tad too big for the nest (hence the bulge) but it still managed to fit in the box!

Hello there! How are you enjoying the Easter countdown so far? I've got something springy easter-ish lined up for you today :) Learn how to make this box from Lauren Meader's video here. I think i totally springed it up! This box is sold !

Those gorgeous papers are from Making Memories 'flower patch' line, ADORABLE! And you can probably use it for babies too ;) Anyhoos, back to the box. I made it to put a little planter inside, i actually bought the soil and all too! and some balsam flower seeds (totally easy to plant and maintain). It also helps that balsam seeds are larger so you don't have a cluster of them growing in the small planter. The 'fresh spring garden just for you' accent is from papertreyink's 'hatched for you set'.

Happy tuesday all! This means there's another video up for today :) Sharing with you how to make this gorgeous box that can fit a mini album or some gift for that special trinket. I hope you like it! Enjoy the video.

Hi all! Welcome to another tutorial video featuring moi :) I've decided on a whim to share with you a video *hopefully* every Tuesday, if not every 2nd Tuesday. Why on a tuesday? Just so I can call it 'Tutorial Tuesday' *lol* Also because making videos are fun! So please feel free to let me know what kind of videos you're interested to see and if time permits I'll gladly make them for you :)

For today, I'll be sharing with you a Card set holder template that I came up with. Really fun & easy to do! It might ring a bell with Papertreyink fans out there because it does look similar to one of Lauren Meader's timeless templates but I took a look at it and came up with a version of my own :)

Here's the completed project with inside lining & band. The 'handmade' sentiment is from papertreyink's 'B&C monogram ed' & the 'stationery' is stamped with their 'simple alphabet' stamp set. I've ordered the 'Simply Stationery' set as well (which I expect to get anytime now!) so this template will come in really handy!

Isn't this a great idea for a gift? I forgot to mention in the video but you can also punch a half circle on the bottom border (see photo above) so it will be easier to take out those cards when you eventually fill the box in. I haven't make any cards to fill it in with yet, soon I hope :)

Another great piece of news to share with you, I've been asked to be on the Design Team for Papier House! They're coming up with their very own stamps/patterned paper line for the local children market, I can't wait!

...and 2 more cards to share!
Ok, I know yesterday I said I'm done blogging for this week but I had to share these! Too cute not too *grinz*

So I was talking about this gable box tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers, and I made 2! Aren't they cute???

I'm loving the Raspberry Fizz paper from PapertreyInk. You can find those here. I also used their summer sunrise & dark chocolate paper for the above gable box as well. Actually now that I look at it, everything's from PTI! You know u're in love when you use them unconsciously :) The stamp set is 'Love Songs', full of adorable images & sentiments. Definitely one of my faves.

Next, I made a baby blu-ish gable box for my friend. [she requested this color combo for her bf]

The stamps for this box is from Heroarts, it's actually part of a round journalling stamp. I just taped off the parts I didn't want, inked the image & removed the tape before stamping. Easy technique to get the part you want from any stamps :)

On to the cards:

CardPositioning systems challenge this week was to use any past sketches so I chose #87 [this one] for the card above. I did the colors for the background with a brayer & a rainbow ink pad. Then I stickled the main flower & adhered pink bling onto the centre of the stamped flower images.

You can hardly tell from the photo but the large dots on the background are stamp-kissed with another heart stamp I had. I also added a butterfly by stamping it with StazOn on a transparency, cut & colored it with copics and adhered it next to my sentiment with glossy accents.

So after some bold colours I was in a softer baby pink mood [again] so I used pti's sweet blush paper for this. Love the soft colour! I then embossed the front with my square nestabilities & cuttlebug to create a frame around my sentiment & image.

The stamp is from IOD & I used copics to color the image . The stamp is actually a 2 tiered cake stand with cupcakes on top, I just snipped off the top part & used that for the inside of my card.

The sentiment is from autumn leaves & I heat embossed that with fine details gold embossing powder. I hope you likey!

Valentine's Day cards ideas ! [pt 2]

Hi & welcome to V-day card ideas part 2!

I've got 3 cards to share with you today, just to load u up with ideas before I fly off tomorrow :) Jakarta's internet connection is lack lustre so i don't foresee any blogging until next thursday :(

Anyways, I'm trying to make videos [with help from T ] on the tutorial I was telling you about, I have NO inkling whatsoever of video editing software so pls bear with me. It WILL be out soon [vdo or photo tutorial]

In the meantime, let's get on to the cards! I absolutely adore this PP from Teresa Collins, the stripes is the other pattern on this double sided PP. For the heart accent, I punched 2 large hearts.

-Using my large heart punch from EK I just punched out the PP & flipped it over to adhere on the front.

-a smaller heart punch in the middle of the PP heart

-another large heart punched out from DCVW glitter cs & used as a backing for the PP heart.

After putting everything together with dimensionals, I adhered a smaller glow in the dark heart sticker smack in the middle of the heart opening. Cute, huh? I like the graphic look :)

Let's move on to my 2nd card:

I got these really adorable Cosmo cricket blackboard not too long ago from a spree & I was excited to find that I had matching sentiments from my papertreyink 'faux ribbon' stamp set. The pink faux stitching is stamped using the same set as well.

The cute little truck is covered with7Gypsies savannah pp & the bunch of hearts image in the truck is from PTI's 'love songs'.

I finished the card inside as well:

The sentiment inside the card is from Heroarts & those little hearts you see at the bottom is from the 'love songs' set as well.

All paper & ribbons used are from PapertreyInk. Personally I think the above card is my fave :)

Last but not least, here's a cardshare as well as one of my entries for the Heroarts 'valentine' challenge over at their blog.

It's nice to be able to use this set from Heroarts again, I wanted something abit more 'mother & child' themed & the stamps worked it's own way into this card. I firstly stamped the large bird image on my white base & cut out the tail feather part aligning on a straight edge i drew earlier on with a pencil. [does this make sense?] I think there was a video on this by Jennifer Mcguire not too long ago, can't seem to find it :(

Anyhoooooss, I stamped the image multiple times on white cardstock & coloured it in with my Copic markers. Then I paper-pieced the bird with dimensionals.

The patterned paper is from the basic grey offbeat collection & the polkies background + sentiment is from papertreyink.

Hello all! A 2 in 1 post today [kristina's color inspiration challenge & my last template share for this week].

Here are the colors for this week: And here's my card:

The Sarah Kay image is stamped with dark brown stazon on PTI vellum & colored on the back with a light pink marker. I particularly love that paper ribbon. Learn how to make one here. You can't tell from the photo, but from the front of the card the vellum shows through to this sentiment on the inside of the card:

Sigh...love is in the air as valentine's day approaches! I still have yet to tackle my Chinese new year cards, i might have to give those a miss this year. Although i did make like.....two? haha.

On to the last day of my template share! This was actually something I made for T as a Xmas gift. He really wanted to get a desk so I got him some Ikea gift vouchers [as opposed to lugging the whole table back] & i made this little table to put the vouchers in.

The top of the table is actually a Playingcard Box that I found at Mirkwood Designs. I just played around and added legs to them to make it look like a table. Please excuse the mess in the photos, I only managed to make this on Xmas eve right before the party at my house started so...yes, it was made under frantic circumstances. At least I got some photos in :)

The sentiment is from PTI's Heartfelt basics & the paper is from K&Co. If you've been reading the post until this point u've probably realised I used the same Patterned paper from the scraps I used for this table. It feels good to use up your scraps, yeah!!!!

Happy Thursday everyone! Have you found time to stop by PapertreyInk's site today? Their new release is out & they're gorgeous! Am still contemplating which one to get. PTI launched a sympathy set for this month's release, it must have been so hard for them to come up with it but I must tell you, they have such beautiful sentiments. Go check them out :)

On to the template, I'm sharing a chinese style take out box today & a mini card to go along with it. Hope you likey!

All images are stamped using PTI's 'green thumb' set & the 'enjoy' sentiment is from their 'mixed messages' stamp set. Isn't this share SO cute? It came out pretty tiny [about 2.5" across] , but I love it nonetheless!

They even come in different patterns ready for you to print straight on your cardstock, but I wanted to do my own stamping so I printed the plain one.

Bear in mind to score & burnish really well!

Also i totally recommend that you punch the holes out for the holder [i used ribbon here] BEFORE you stick everything together. The crop o dile could just barely reach to punch the hole, so if you have a Big Bite that would be perfect for this! I may have to get one for myself soon *grinz*

Stamp your take out box any style you want and just punch out a small tag to adhere on the top as a seal. I used PTI's 'boxes, bags & tags' set here for the circle pattern & the sentiment is from PTI's 'Favor it weddings'.
I'm going to be filling this box with some wonderful fruit tea bags , hence that perfect sentiment!

For the love of drawers [template day #3]

Hi and welcome to day #3 of my template sharing week!
I have for you today a nice template from Ruth! She came up with this template & I think it's too adorable to pass :)
It's a small box with a drawer PLUS a built-in card on top, how brilliant is that?? Here's what I made, I just punched out the top of the drawer with a circle punch to make it easier to pull out. Hope you likey!

It's REALLY easy to make, and quick too! Good to use up your scraps from scrapbooking/cardmaking as well. I just used 2 different cs colours to make the box & the drawer. Also, I adhered a 12" long pp all around the sides of the drawers. LOVE it!

This measures 3" across when finished, the top flap opens up for you to write what you wish. nice, huh?

Don't you just love it?? I've got so many ideas as to what to put inside it, jewellery for a friend perhaps?

I like that it's a 'all in one' gift, no need to make a separate card for it :)

Welcome to day 2 of my template sharing week!

I love everything that is cute & sweet [actually almost everything that I'll be sharing with you this week are cute! *giggle*] and what could be cuter than a little paper suitcase?!?

I forgot to take a photo of the inside, but I can tell you it's really pretty! Just remember to use double sided patterned paper & SCORE well :)

I just wanted to do a size comparison on the suitcase so you have an idea how big it is, it measures 3" across the length :) perfect size for little love notes and a few Hershey nuggets !The gorgeous papers are from October afternoon & that lovely 'Love' stamp is from the Mixed Messages set from papertreyink.

Papertrey's having a release on the 15th! They're a must have, I'm eyeing the stationery set & Pine's new stamp set as well. YUMMY!

Hello Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend, I'm going to share with you a few cute & yummy templates through out this week. A different project for every weekday :)

Of course, I'll also include links/files to where you can find them!

Let's begin! For today I'm sharing with you a box made by a template from Kiera! She's such a talented lady, thanks for letting me share this Kiera!

I've been looking for a template like this for ages, so I hope you find this useful :) I love how you can use any cutting system you have on hand to make the window on the front of the box. For my box, I used my Labels One nestabiliries that I got from PapertreyInk. Remember, cut the window out FIRST! The box is really easy to do, I printed it out on printer paper & then attached that to my cardstock & cut away :) Imagine all the goodies that you can put inside!

Can you believe it's already the weekend? A week goes by so fast nowadays, huh? Anyways, I was blog browsing last night & I found this really cute mini mag holder from http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/ .

I HAD to make one for myself, it's too cute! Here's the template:

And here's what I made! The template was actually larger but I trimmed it down to fit smaller cards. Perfect for little notes & gift cards, great as a gift for Valentine's day :) I'm so in love with PTI's poppy red cardstock, so delish! I used it here to make the base.
Here's the holder with the cards i made. Since the cards are pretty small, Use all your scraps! I certainly did, and it felt GOOD :)
